Introducing the Capable and Sporty 2022 VW Taos

Volkswagen has officially unveiled the 2022 VW Taos, showcasing their newest compact SUV which will be released sometime in 2021. Slated to be the option right below the Tiguan in their compact SUV lineup, the Taos will feature a new engine for an improved level of performance drivers will appreciate. They have also announced that a variety of great technology options will be available across the various trim levels of the Taos. When the Taos is released to the public, Emich Volkswagen in Denver, CO will be the place to get yours in Colorado.  

Fueling the performance of the 2022 Volkswagen Taos will be the turbocharged 1.5L EA211 four-cylinder engine. Sporting 158 horsepower and 184 lb.-ft of torque, the Taos will have plenty of dependable performance to enjoy anywhere the driver takes this compact SUV. Customers will also get to choose between an eight-speed automatic transmission or a DSG® seven-speed automatic transmission to help deliver the performance on the road. The eight-speed transmission will be available on FWD models of the Taos, while the seven-speed variant will be found on 4Motion® AWD models.  

The interior of the Taos will continue to feature premium modern comforts and technologies that drivers come to expect from any VW model. All trims of the Taos will come standard with the Volkswagen Digital Cockpit for an immersive visual experience for the driver. The VW Taos will also feature Volkswagen Car-Net with a Wi-Fi® hotspot built-in for another level of interactivity occupants will enjoy standard. Meanwhile, the Taos will also come with available options for upper-level trims such as the MIB3 infotainment system which also adds wireless features like charging and App-Connect.
